Initial Setup for Hosting at SolutionWebHosting.net

This page is packed with IMPORTANT information about your account. Please READ very carefully and then SAVE it so you can reference it again later. In addition the cPanel Userguide inside your control panel will be helpful.

ACCESSING YOUR SITE

Your temporary URL will be: http://solutionwebhosting.net/~username/
After domain name resolves to the server, the URL will be http://www.yourdomain or http://yourdomain)

ACCESSING MAIL AND FTP

For email and FTP, please use 66.194.239.1 until your domain name is transferred.
Then the login should be changed to:
Mail Server: mail.yourdomain (pop and smtp)
FTP Server: ftp.yourdomain

Note:     'yourdomain'     'username'     'password'     will be sent to the email provided during signup.

Note: Many ISP mail accounts block port 25 therefore you may have to use their smtp settings to send mail.
Note: domains with a 'dash' may create trouble with MySQL! So beware of 'dashes' in 'yourdomain'

DOMAIN SERVERS

If you are registering or need to transfer your domain name, use the following name servers.
Primary Server Hostname: ns1.solutionwebhostings.net (66.195.17.1)
Secondary Server Hostname: ns2.solutionwebhostings.net (66.195.17.2)
(if we registered your domain - we will set these values for you)

cPanel CONTROL PANEL

To log into your control panel, use the username and password assigned to your account.
You may access your control panel at: http://66.194.239.1:2082/
or at http://yourdomain:2082 (after the domain resolves).

cPanel DISCLAIMER

cPanel control panel software is licensed by cPanel.net. As this software is third party software we have no control over it's development or future work-ability. Some things in the control panel may break (contain bugs) from time to time and we have no recourse but to wait for the developer to fix said bugs.

You must accept these terms of service (TOS) in order to use the service. These terms of service may be updated as needed at any time without notice. The main purpose of this agreement is to protect all users on the servers.

Suspension: Violation of these terms of service could result in suspension or removal of your account depending upon the circumstances.

Scope of Service: pricing has been designed to be low cost and therefore, in that spirit we are simply providing basic http, mail & ftp level hosting services. This means that applications or scripts set up by users to run on the server which cause high CPU load may be asked to move to a dedicated server.

Script support or other "how-to" services is provided on a 'request to quote' base. However, it is the responsibility of the user to become learned in setting up and administering their account including script installs, file permissions, uploading procedures, etc.

You agree to not use the Service to: upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another person's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable. Some examples are:

Pirated software
Hackers programs or archives
Warez Sites
Adult Sites
Illegal MP3s

We do not allow clients to install their own CGI chat rooms. These tend to use excessive system resources.

Resource 'hogs' such as flat file discussion / forum scripts are not allowed! In fact, any script that uses excessive system resources will be asked to move to a dedicated server or be disabled. This is to protect all users on the servers. If a low volume forum is required, use a MySQL / php script.

Here are a few examples of scripts which either cause a great load on the servers or pose a serious security risk, therefore can not be run on the servers:

Any gaming server software
UltimateBBS (all versions)
Ikonboard (all versions)
IRC
Proxy Servers
nph-proxy
The Anonymizer

Spamming, or the sending of unsolicited email, from a SolutionWebHostings account or using an email address that is maintained at SolutionWebHosting is STRICTLY prohibited. Equally, any email or Usenet spam which points to any domain hosted on a SolutionWebHosting account will result in immediate suspension of that domain name account and a full investigation.

SolutionWebHosting is in no way responsible for down time either resulting from a users actions, or natural fluctuations in internet consistency. SolutionWebHosting will however, do everything within it's power to assure that each and every client site is up as consistently as possible.
